What We Do
We install and maintain hives at your home, business or school. You pay an initial fee for the equipment, bees and installation then a monthly service fee thereafter. The hive, bees and honey belong to you. We will replace any unhealthy colonies or queens at no additional cost and guarantee an annual honey harvest for colonies started by April.
We are excited to offer our services to our neighbors in the following Southcentral PA counties…Dauphin, Cumberland and York.
My Bee Story
When I was young, I saw honeybees often. However, as an adult, I would rarely see honeybees in my gardens, despite an extensive assortment of flowering plants. That realization led me into beekeeping.
Beekeeping has been a wonderful experience for me. I have learned, and continue to learn, so many amazing aspects of honeybee biology. I’ve enjoyed sharing that knowledge with my children, friends and neighbors. However, I understand that keeping bees can be challenging and intimidating. With Your Backyard Bees, I’m excited to make beekeeping simple and accessible for others in Southcentral PA.
